Campus Christians understands that we need to meet together with other Believers for worship and encouragement, but we also know that we are equally called to reach out to our campus and community. We provide a number of ministry opportunities every semester.

Mission Trips

Campus Christians takes at least two mission trips every school year, one during Spring Break and another during the summer. These trips have been life changing for our students, as well as those whom they meet and work alongside. Planning the next round of trips is always in process at CC. Our goal is to show the love of Jesus by obeying His command to take the Gospel to the world. We pray that God will lead us to where we are needed most.

Spring Break

Over Spring Break 2013, 22 of our students gave up the traditional beach or skiing trips to go serve Jesus. We traveled to the mountains of New Mexico to work at El Porvenir Christian Camp. Our students demolished an old building, remodeled a dorm, improved the ropes course and zip line, cleaned extensively, and did a number of other projects to help improve the camp for its summer ministry. Information for Spring Break 2014 will be posted when it becomes available. We would love for you to join us!

During the summer break from school, Campus Christians offers an international mission trip. In summer 2012, 9 students traveled with James and Brian to the Middle East again. We spent two weeks in Jordan and two weeks in Israel. Projects included spending time with abused and orphaned girls, running a VBS/kids’ camp, and working at a community library. This summer, 7 students returned again to the Middle East for 5 weeks. They are spending their time helping refugees, reaching out to the poor, and encouraging the Church in Jordan.

Community Outreach

Campus Christians does not only serve in far away places. We realize that our very own community is in need as well. We have collected hundreds of blankets, coats and other warm clothing for those in need as well as aiding many families with food and other necessities. In 2011, our students donated vast amounts of time, money, and goods to help the victims of the Joplin tornado. Throughout the year we plan several weekend ministry trips to local shelters and other faith-based relief organizations. CC also takes a Thursday night during the semester to have a night of service. Rather than do our normal worship service, our students organize and participate in several different service projects to benefit people in the local community and around the world. The past three years, CC has organized a fundraiser on campus called Tour de Hope. Students ride stationary bicycles for 2 days to earn donations. The money raised from Tour de Hope 2013 is being used by our summer mission team in Jordan to buy food, water, and other necessities for countless refugees. Campus Christians continually looks for new ways to serve our community.
